International Women’s Day 💜

Every girl deserves to feel safe, valued and confident to shape her own future. Yet too many women and girls still face barriers, discrimination and violence that prevent true equality.

A more equal world doesn’t happen by chance, it happens when people step up, challenge unfair systems and support the next generation to lead.

Today, a big thank you goes to the incredible Girl Guide Leaders and volunteers who give their time to mentor and empower girls every week. Your guidance helps girls grow into strong, capable young women who know their voices matter.

This International Women’s Day, let’s keep working together to balance the scales and build a fairer future for all. ⚖️💜

📣 Reminder! Save the date 4 August - Play On! Voucher round opens

Play On! (Formerly FairPlay) is launching 4 August - a new $200 voucher program to help Queensland kids aged 5-17 get into recreational activities.

Girl Guides Queensland is a proud activity provider under this initiative. You can apply for and use a $200 Play On! voucher to offset the cost of a new Guides membership or renewal.

💥 Two rounds each year (summer OR winter)

Parents and carers, please save your voucher and upload during membership renewal process once your annual invoice has been received via email!
