We're happy to announce a new book - Yaka Yinikarrbiyama Numurayanguma-langwa 🐛

This Anindilyakwa language version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle was made possible by The Indigenous Literacy Foundation

Ena jurra yirruwa yirrerrikarranguma Anindilyakwa-ma ayakwa. Yirruwa yirrawilyakajuwama akwa yirriyengbinama enena-langwa alawudawarra wurriyukwayuwa-manja yinikarrbiyama-langwa.

The Language Centre team translated this book into Anindilyakwa and we read it to the children at Umbakumba School. Check out some photos!

GEBIPCAC is offering weekly Anindilyakwa reading and writing training which may be of interest to people in the community.

This training is for Indigenous community members who can speak Anindilyakwa. Sessions will be held at Umbakumba and Angurugu, and we can provide support for people on Milyakburra who may like to learn to read and write in Anindilyakwa.
