Donate your e-waste to us!

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with PC's for Kids! They are a solely volunteer run, self-funded charity who donate refurbished computers to children/youth under 18 whose circumstances prevent them from having the access to a suitable computer. For more information, please visit pcsforkids.com.au

PC's for Kids has been kind enough to give Anakie Community House a refurbished laptop which volunteers and members of the community will be able to use. If you want to know if you can drop your e-waste here please contact us 03 5284 1359

An extra special thank you to our wonderful volunteers! πŸ˜ƒ
It is National Volunteer Week and we would just like to acknowledge that without our wonderful volunteers, we could not be a great resource for our community.
The House runs under a voluntary committee of management, some of our programs and activities are facilitated by volunteers, and we have an army of people who show up in so many ways every week. Whether you have supported us by helping to run our Community Day, flexed your muscles at a garden working bee, baked a batch of scones, or provided a helping hand in the office;
we are so truly thankful for all that you do! πŸŒΌπŸ¦„

We joined other Neighbourhood Houses today across Australia in hosting a largest community lunch to celebrate Neighbourhood House Week.

This year's theme "your place to connect " reminds us about the important role Community/Neighbourhood houses play in bringing people together to build relationships with others in their community.

Our guest speakers shared info about the important work they do and got us involved in activities that fostered opportunities for connection.

A truly great day.

Special thanks to Erica from Mental Health and wellbeing local, Nat and Amanda from This is Your Bookmark and Niamh from the Community Kitchen program at Barwon Health

Thanks also to our amazing volunteers and all of our guests for supporting the House and being so open to new experiences.

Head to our website to find out how Anakie Community House could be your place to connect.
