This weekend marked a momentous occasion with the celebration of our newest King Scout award recipient.

Dawid, a highly valued member of the Allambie Venturer unit, consistently provides invaluable support to younger venturers throughout their scouting journey. It was great to witness him attain the highest award within scouting at Allambie.

The venturer unit council and leaders organised a celebratory BBQ, attended by past King Scouts, District Commissioner Tom Miles, and local MP Michael Regan, Independent Member for Wakehurst

In 2025, at their annual Charity Trivia Night, the Scouts (11-14yo) raised $1525 for Save The Children - their chosen charity. Incredibly grateful for the enormously generous donations from Allambie Heights businesses....
The Chook Shop, Delhi Darbar, Allambie Pizza, Allambie Pies, Allambie Heights Newsagency, Strand 22, Allambie Heights Dry Cleaners, Orchid, Barber Malos, Allambie Heights IGA, Denim & Luxe, Allambie Heights Bakers Delight, Bunnings Balgowlah, Balgowlah Fitness First, local author Pip Harry, and a generous supporter who donated a dinner for 2 at Delhi o Delhi.

1st Allambie Heights Scouts, you did an amazing job last night!
As well as running the 2025 Trivia Night, by seating and cooking for attendees, emceeing, scoring, awarding prizes and cleaning up when you were done, you had previously put in all the planning to ensure a successful event.

The Scouts (a group of 11-14yo) organised the menu, the promotions (including sourcing prizes), the decorations and food, offered up services (car washing, lawn tidy and pressure hosing - you can see the anxious faces awaiting auction results in the photo) for auction to raise even more funds.
Massive achievement - they have raised over $1300 for their chosen charity, “Save The Children”.

Last night we gave away vouchers for many of those businesses as well as a magazine and book pack. The Scouts have extended raffle ticket sales until Dec (you can buy them on our our site where we are selling xmas trees) - we still have a 3mth and x2 1mth gym memberships for Fitness First, vouchers ranging in price from $30-$50 for Allambie Dry Cleaners, Barber Malos, IGA, Orchid, more magazine and book packs, games, homewares, and a dinner for two to be won.
