Working together with families, friends and dedicated staff, Sunnyfield supports a brighter future for people with disability. Guided by our values of respect, trust, honesty and innovation, it’s our mission to enrich the lives of people with intellectual disability through person-centred active support that creates choice,

opportunities and skills for life. Day to day, we deliver nearly 2,000 support services for people with disability, including children, teenagers, adults and seniors across NSW and the ACT.

Ryan secures his first paid job! 💼👏🎉

Through Sunnyfield Vocational Services, Ryan gained hands on warehousing experience at Fairhaven Copack, building his confidence and independence before achieving an exciting milestone, securing his first paid job!

"I love working as part of a team and experiencing the satisfaction of completing a task," Ryan said.

From September, Ryan will work 2 days a week and is already focused on his next goals: getting his driver's and forklift licences! 💚

Building confidence, independence through trusted support.

For 15-year-old Connor, 6 years of consistent support at Sunnyfield has helped him grow in confidence, build connections and embrace new experiences.

A true social butterfly, Connor loves meeting new people, exploring his community and getting involved in everything Caringbah has to offer, from movie nights and the sensory room to sports, games and plenty of fun. 🦋

Recently, Connor completed a 10-day Short Term Accommodation stay at Caringbah, providing a wonderful opportunity to see just how far he has come.

For Connor and his family, having a team of trusted staff who know him well and understand his support needs makes all the difference. 💚

Learning on the move! 🚆

Our Vocational Services team from Toronto enjoyed a day out at Newcastle Museum, putting their travel training skills into action as they navigated their way by bus, train and light rail.

Once there, it was time to explore, learn and discover more through the museum’s interactive exhibits, followed by a picnic on the lawns in the sunshine. ☀️🧺

What an incredible Sunday!

More than 130 amazing people from our Sunnyfield community came together for the Beach2Beach Fun Run. We ran, walked and rolled our way to the finish line in the sunshine and a smile on our face.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines and helped with the setup. Together we raised over $10,000 which is an incredible result. But the best news is Sunnyfield took out the TOP TEAMS CHALLENGE, securing the coveted 🥇 1st Place trophy.

Now that’s a Beach2Beach to remember! 💚🙌

A huge thank you to Willoughby Council for supporting Sunnyfield’s Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons project for our Chatswood SLES students! 💜

With this funding, participants could have fun, build friendships and develop valuable skills through Dungeons & Dragons. Along the way, they strengthened their communication, teamwork, problem solving and decision making, while building confidence in a safe and supportive environment. 🐉🎲

The funding also enabled Sunnyfield to purchase the resources and materials needed to establish the program, creating a sustainable activity that can continue to benefit current and future participants for years to come.

We’re incredibly grateful to Willoughby Council for helping us create more opportunities for social connection, skill development and meaningful community participation.

Thank you for helping us roll the dice on inclusion! 🎲💚
