Camellia Society, Adelaide Hills Inc.

Camellia Society, Adelaide Hills Inc. The Camellia Society, Adelaide Hills Inc. is based at Stangate House and Garden in Aldgate. Guest speakers are usually a feature of the meetings.

Stangate is a National Trust property, and the Camellia garden is cared for by the Camellia Society. The garden at Stangate is recognised as an ‘International Camellia Garden of Excellence’, as awarded by the International Camellia Society. Members meet at 7pm every third Friday of the month from March to October at Stangate House (which has a lovely wood fire in winter!). Every year the Camellia

Society holds open days on the third Sunday in May and the first four Sundays in September to raise revenue to continue to care for the garden. More information about this will be provided on the page at a later date. New members are always welcome, as are volunteers in the garden on Tuesdays.
