VALE – Laurence “Laurie” Evans

It is with great sadness that the Albury & Border Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW acknowledges the passing of Life Member Laurence “Laurie” Evans.

Laurie joined the Albury & Border Rescue Squad in 1983, beginning more than four decades of dedicated service to his community.

Throughout his time with the Squad, Laurie held numerous leadership positions including Vice Captain, Training Officer, President and Patron, and was recognised as a Life Member for his outstanding contribution.

Laurie dedicated much of his life to helping others through both VRA Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance, leaving a legacy of service, commitment and friendship that will long be remembered.

Our deepest condolences are extended to Laurie’s family, friends and all those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Rest easy Laurie. Thank you for your service.

VRA Rescue NSW members collaborate extensively with the NSW Police Force, as well as with the Victoria Police, Queensland Police Service, and Australian Federal Police across state borders.
Today, we honor the memory of those police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and recognize the ongoing commitment of those who confront danger daily.
