It was an absolute pleasure to spend this afternoon at the Chiltern Courthouse opening the 2026 Six Artists Exhibition.

The theme this year - Near & Far - curated by artist Linda Fish, brought together distinct practices and perspectives to a shared concept incorporating landscapes, flora and fauna, abstract and mixed medium works.

Congratulations to artists Birgit Schönafinger, Louise Hazelton, Fiona Larkins Serena Rachel, Sharon barry and Chris Dormer (picture below).

The exhibition is open all King's Birthday weekend and well worth the visit to the charming town of Chiltern! Visit the exhibition, drop into an artist studio and stay for lunch or afternoon tea. Open Daily 10am to 4pm until 8 June.

Words in Motion 🪵✨

What an incredible Saturday at The Butter Factory Theatre! We loved seeing so many fresh faces dive into Words in Motion, our latest GreenHouse workshop.

Led by the brilliant Ben Ashby (co-director of a2 Company), writers and creatives from all backgrounds stepped away from the page to explore new dynamic writing and storytelling techniques. It was a wonderful, supportive space for everyone to experiment and bring their ideas to life.

Huge thanks to Ben for an inspiring session, and to everyone who came along, experimented, and shared their voice!

🤝 About the Series

ONLINE WORKSHOP: Business Essentials for Creatives 🧑‍🏫

As artists, the first thing we want to do create, and the LAST thing is all the pesky business admin that comes with it.

While it’s not something we can avoid, it can be made much simpler. In this workshop series, Regional Arts NSW CEO Tracey Callinan will guide you through the essentials, breaking down the jargon and helping you build confidence in managing your practice as a business.

Over three, two-hour online sessions, you will learn how to:
➡ Why ABNs are important
➡ Understand when & how to register for GST
➡ Get paid properly for your work
➡ Understand superannuation: what you’re owed and how to contribute
➡ Create a simple, effective budget
➡ Manage your accounts & submit your tax-return
➡ Create an effective CV and portfolio

By the end of the series, you’ll have a clear understanding of the fundamentals, so you can keep the business side of your practice simple and spend more time creating.
