Meet our next panelist for Smart Arts: Behind the Music - North-East Victorian folk songwriter Candice McLeod 🌿🎧

At Behind the Music, we’re opening up the floor for a direct, insightful conversation with local creators about bringing new work to life.

Candice will take the stage with our feature panelists to share a track from her forthcoming self-produced album - recorded live with vocal trio The Sweetwaters in a historic Yackandandah church hall - and dive into her creative process, live tracking, and audience Q&A.

Stay after the panel discussion to connect with local artists and hear what regional musicians are creating over a background playlist of submitted local tracks!

An evening with Wayne ‘Wombat’ Birrell celebrated his collection of works entitled ‘True Blue’ documenting rural and regional landscapes and the Aussie way of life. Wombat is a true larrikin entertaining the crowd with hilarious anecdotes and stories of his travel around Australia. Honouring his time in the Australian Army and his experience supporting returned soldiers; 50% of proceeds from the exhibition will be donated directly to Legacy Australia.

We are so proud to be a small part of this important initiative. 🤩 Congratulations to the Albury Wodonga Symphony Orchestra, Darren Wighton, Gordon Kerry and Jeremy Weirauch!

We look forward to hearing the composition at the start of each performance, becoming familiar with a piece that acknowledges the First Nations community of this Country; past, present and emerging.

Are you planning a musical initiative, event, or educational program that will benefit the Albury Wodonga community? Grants of up to $5,000 are available through the Ruth Whyte Memorial Bequest to help advance music in our region across any genre!

Whether you're looking to facilitate a public performance, increase access to instruments, or deliver unique musical education, this grant could help turn your project into reality.

Meet our first panelist for our upcoming Smart Arts: Behind the Music - Beechworth synthpop/electronica artist & producer Amylou! ✨

Behind the Music brings our local creative community together for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how original regional music gets made.

Fresh off releasing her July 2026 album Fly, Amylou will take to the stage alongside our panel to share a featured track, unpack her songwriting and home studio production process, and take your questions during our live audience Q&A.

More time for creativity, less time on admin💡

It’s been an absolute pleasure to serve as a test case for Digital Marketer Bee | Web Design | Albury | Wagga ‘s new AI Agent Bee! Last night at the launch, our Executive Director Lauren Black, shared how our custom-built AI agent is already streamlining time consuming admin tasks behind the scenes at Murray Arts.
Automating this work gives us back our most valuable asset: TIME.
Time to focus on face-to-face work with our regional artists, creatives, and community - the heart of what we do, and something technology can never replace.

Huge thanks to the DMB team for including us in the journey and showing Albury what’s possible! ✨
