LSC&PH appoints Steve Clifford to lead next chapter
Lord Somers Camp and Power House (LSC&PH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Clifford as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Following a rigorous and thoughtful search process, Steve joins LSC&PH with more than a decade of experience leading organisations across the not-for-profit sector, including Doxa Youth Foundation, Youth Enterprises Australia and SecondBite. He has also held senior leadership roles with Save the Children, Whitelion and the Minderoo Foundation. Across both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, Steve has a strong track record of building teams, large and small, to be the best they can be and to maximise impact.
Steve is a strong believer in the positive, transformative impact that camps and the outdoors can have, and the vital role they play in creating connection, opportunity and belonging for young people and communities.
LSC&PH President and Camp Chief, Kristen Hammond, said Steve’s appointment comes at an important time for the organisation.
“This is a time of renewal and focus for LSC&PH. We are committed to strengthening every part of our organisation, and Steve’s leadership will be important in guiding us forward with clarity and purpose.”
Steve Clifford said:
“It is an absolute privilege to take on this CEO role. I am very aware of the overwhelmingly positive impact Lord Somers Camp and Power House has had on the lives of so many over almost 100 years. Its mission ‘to create a stronger, more inclusive society through service to others’ resonates strongly with my own personal values.
“I’m looking forward to working with the LSC&PH team and community to maintain and strengthen our relevance and impact, and the trust of those we serve, as we move into our next century. I am very excited for what lies ahead.”
LSC&PH has been making a positive difference since 1929 to thousands of people from all walks of life, ages and cultures. In 2025 alone 1,500 people from 15 to 90+ years attended over 40 LSC&PH camps and programs in Victoria.
Steve will commence in the role in mid-April. LSC&PH looks forward to welcoming Steve and to the next chapter of its work with communities across Victoria.
