Over 40 independent member groups and affiliates, as well as a small core unit (Gondwana Link Ltd) are working together to achieve a shared vision: 'Reconnected country, from the wet forests of the far south-west to the woodland and mallee bordering the Nullarbor Plain, in which ecosystem function and biodiversity are restored and maintained.'
The involvement of international, national, state an
d local groups, as well as the knowledge and expertise of businesses and local people, has enabled us to tackle this vision in numerous ways, including strategic land purchase and restoration, improved land management, scientific research and monitoring, development and implementation of ecologically focused Conservation Action Plans, high-standard restoration plantings, and advocacy. The support and involvement of Traditional Owners, from the Noongar and Ngadju communities, is much appreciated. Built primarily from the generosity of some wonderful donors, the program has grown through ongoing donations from thousands of generous individuals and foundations, grants from a number of government programs, from commercial arrangements and from the on-ground work of individual landholders and community members across the Link. Lead groups are working across all major habitat gaps and in the Great Western Woodlands. Donations can go directly to those groups, or to support the overall work of Gondwana Link Ltd (whose membership is made up of those groups).
