This Friday afternoon we moved 4 wallabies to their soft release site. I did have to take Liyan home again for the night as he was a bit much with his 3 new friends and sedated him Saturday for a second attempt. By Saturday afternoon everyone was doing well and getting used to the new digs, Liyan needed one more dose to stay chill but by Sunday he had settled in nicely. Thanks to Tiahn Fitz for her dedication spending Friday night there. Thanks Claire Pragnell for your invaluable advice throughout as always. Thanks to the property owners for allowing us to use your space. It was a massive weekend and we are bruised, scratched and exhausted but WE DID IT!! Back to work today lol

Thank you so much to the 3 people who donated to our Fiver Friday fundraiser every little bit helps. We recently had a $522 vet bill for Liyan’s treatment after his dog attack along with $260 for a new possum cage needed due to having so many in care at the moment and $250 for Diazepam to transport our release wallabies this weekend! To be totally transparent our grand total was $30 and we appreciate you ❤️ helping us keep doing what we do ###

Our funds are running critically low, working full time AND full time rehabilitating doesn’t leave much time for sleep, let alone fundraising ventures. We desperately need funds for milk and vet bills to continue taking in wildlife. Did you know wildlife rehabilitators in Australia receive no payment or support from the government. We are self funded and have to find ways to fundraise to help ourselves. But YOU can make a big difference ❤️
