Enroute back into Albany it was marvellous to see a very large Mob of Kangaroos out and about but also safely behind a fence! A visit to the Suez Memorial was the last Tourist site for the day as well as going up to the Padre White Lookout. After this the Crew went to a Restaurant to celebrate the Captain’s Birthday. The Crew found a Birthday cake with “50” Numeral candles on it… The cake and candles were taken on board for all of the Crew to enjoy tomorrow! Safe Travels Seafarers! As always, it has been a joy to have you visit the Mission to Seafarers in Albany, Western Australia! ⚓️🦘🛳️🎂🍷🐇👏🏻💯🥰

It is always delightful to watch Seafarers relax so much when they are able to visit these incredible vistas, especially the Master whose responsibilities on board their Ship is immense!

This after and evening was a time of celebrating 50 times around the Sun this afternoon and this evening prior to departing for Belgium tomorrow morning…. First up was a visit to the Mt Melville lookouts…. sitting in the “Captain’s Seat” at the lookout with the Chief Engineer and Electrician standing behind him. Then on up to the “Spark Plug” for the Crew to get a wider expanse of the incredible view. Following this was a visit to Frenchman’s Bay… the Electrician returning to the bus with some sand to appreciate. They were all duly impressed with the beauty of the area.

Nine Crew from the MV “Krenom” which is loading Canola bound for Belgium (a six week journey via the Cape of Good Hope), including the Master and the Chief Engineer, visited the Mission and following a shopping trip thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the numerous activities: it was wonderful to hear the Master and the Chief Engineer laughing whilst playing the Soccer game…. very therapeutic for them. The Massage Chair was very popular and the Chief Engineer put it on the “Back Massage” setting which also massaged his feet… which he found very beneficial! The Crew are multi National and absolutely delighted to be visiting Australia, albeit a very petite section.
