Hi all, I’m just confirming arrangements for tomorrow’s run to Donnybrook. It’ll be stands up at 8.30am at GSMC then up Albany Highway through Mt Barker (we will have a non-stopping pick up here and at Kendenup) to Kojonup for a quick fuel and comfort stop at the Shell roadhouse. We will then hang a left just out of the north side of town on to the Darkan- Kojonup Rd followed by a left at Mokup on to the Boyup Brook – Arthur River Road and a quick right 2kms down on to Darkan Rd South. 10 kms later we will turn left on to the Bowelling-Duranillin Rd which we will follow through to Coalfields Rd where will turn left and run into the Ampol in Collie for a stop and to pick up a few Bunbury chapter crew. We will then back track a few hundred metres and turn right on to Patterson street for a run down to Mumballup Pub for lunch at about 12ish. After lunch it’s a straight short run into Donnybrook with dinner booked from 5pm at S**g Brewing. While we have a good number of people coming (23ish) S**g weren’t able to do the special menu as they needed a few more bodies but will still look after us with their excellent pub menu. What a stunning day today. Andy and Mark decided to organise an impromptu ride leaving GSMC and riding out to Denmark via Mcleod Rd and Scotsdale Road and back to Handasydes for lunch. Great to see Dan out on a ride.

Yesterday we lost a mate and HOG Albany South Coast Chapter member 😢

Words can’t describe our feelings of sadness of the news that our good friend from Queensland David Melville lost his life on the highway near Ravensthorpe yesterday. David was on his way back to Queensland after riding to Albany with friends and family for a road trip. HOG members caught up with the group last week for dinner and David and Co also came for dinner after our monthly meeting.

Our sincere condolences go out to his Wife Rachel, Daughter Jessica, close friends Gra and Michelle and all his other family and friends. ❤️

Our Fundraiser for this year is fast approaching. Registrations open on the 1st September. It is going to be a great day with some great prizes. Importantly all funds raised will go to RFDS who play a vital role in Albany's community and a organisation close to my heart. Please support this day. Spread the word. John, Trina and Geoff made a detour to Perth to attend the Harley Officer Training. A great weekend was had by all and we got some great tips. Thanks to Marie for being a great presenter.
