🚨 We're Hiring | Mental Health Practitioner 🚨

Join The Women's Centre and make a real difference in the lives of women impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence.

We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to provide trauma-informed therapeutic support, advocacy and care coordination within our multidisciplinary team. This full-time contract role also contributes to the Townsville Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), supporting women through crisis and recovery.

✨ Calling all Townsville hairdressers! ✨

In recognition of National Homelessness Week, The Women's Centre is hosting a community breakfast for women and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

We're looking for generous hairdressers who would be willing to volunteer a few hours of their time to provide simple haircuts or trims on the day.

At The Women's Centre, our Specialist Homelessness Team supports women and children to access safe accommodation and rebuild their lives.
Something as simple as a fresh haircut can restore confidence, dignity, and self-esteem, helping women feel empowered or simply feel like themselves again.

If you're a qualified hairdresser and would like to donate your time and skills to make a meaningful difference, we'd love to hear from you.

We are currently seeking donations of unopened toiletry items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, pads, tampons, shampoo, conditioner etc) and pantry items (rice, pasta, cereal, noodles etc). If you are able to donate, please drop them off to our Centre during business hours.
