Address: 72 Roberts Road Airport West 3042

We are delighted to have the leader of the Acacia Study Group - Bill Aitchison as APS Keilor Plains next speaker. Bill has lead the Acacia Study Group for 15 years and produces superb newsletters. Bill and his partner Sue have a renowned garden in Donvale including a host of Acacia species and he is a most entertaining speaker.

The Acacia Study Group is very active and it costs a huge $7 a year to be a member (newsletters via e-mail). You also need to be a member of your state Australian plants society. There are interesting newsletters going back to 1968 and a seed bank featuring some rare and hard to get Acacia seeds. More information here - https://anpsa.org.au/study_group/acacia-study-group/

It is past peak wattle season now but there are Acacia in flower all year round. Here are a selection of photos of Acacia from central Australia, the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and local parks near Melbourne in recent travels.
