Paprikás - Hungarian Food & Culture Festival

Paprikás - Hungarian Food & Culture Festival But the Hungarian heart is a noble one, which yearns to be free... And nothing will keep us down!

The modern Hungarian culture has been slowly evolving over the past 1,000 years, ever since our nomadic ancestors migrated into Europe and settled permanently in the 'Great Hungarian Plain'. Our culture has since grown rich through the turmoil of countless victories, defeats, foreign occupations, struggles for independence, and rebuilding efforts that have plagued us as a people for centuries. It

is this rich culture that the 'Hungarian Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Cultural Circle, S.A. Inc.' and the 'Association of the Hungarian Aged & Invalid Persons in S.A. Inc.' presented to the people of Adelaide, South Australia, for the first time at our very own Food & Culture Festival, in October 2015! It was a successful day, approx. 500 people passed through the gate between 11am and 6pm. In 2016, the Cultural Circle will be continuing alone what we began last year, trying to make our Festival bigger and better! We're following on the traditions of our home State - the Festival State - in the hopes that the Hungarian people, their achievements, their food, their drink, their history & their sacrifices, will continue to be appreciated long into the future.
