The Burnside Community Centre centrally located in leafy Tusmore offers a versatile and attractive venue fit for a wide range of purposes including:

• Conferences, workshops and meetings

In addition to offering venues for hire, the Burnside Community Centre is home to many programs, classes and activities promoting creativity, health, education, and social activities to the wider community including:

• Chess and Mah Jong

The State Heritage listed Burnside Ballroom built in 1954 offers a unique and charming atmosphere to host a variety of events. An institution of the local community for over 50 years and home to the iconic ‘Princeton Club’ during the 1960’s, the Ballroom stands as a beautiful example of the elegance of 1950’s architecture. There are no other known examples of this style of interior currently intact in Australia, ensuring a distinctive and memorable venue for your next event. The Ballroom is a great venue to host events of 100-500 people including:
• Wedding Receptions & Engagement Parties
• Conferences, workshops & meetings
• Exhibitions & Public Events
• Private Functions

DEVELOPING DIFFERENTLY: Disability, neurodivergence and/or other developmental differences can add another layer to the already complex role of parenting.

As part of our ongoing FISCH program, we're offering a free and supportive workshop for parents and caregivers to learn more about their role in nurturing for a child with disability.

Topics covered will include:
● Coping with feelings about your child’s challenges
● Understanding the rights of children/young people with disability
● Strategies to support meeting your child’s needs
● When, where, and how to find the supports needed for parents/caregivers

Dates: Monday 15 June and Monday 22 June
Time: 5.30 pm – 8.30 pm

🌟Check out this wonderful new initiative by City of Burnside Community Centres and Events🌟

Looking for a creative space where young people can feel comfortable, express themselves, and connect with others? Brush and Bloom is an inclusive, small-group art program designed especially for young people aged 12–18 who are neurodivergent or living with disability (with low to moderate support needs).

Program Details:

Wednesdays | 29 July – 16 September 2026
4:00pm – 5:30pm (1.5 hour sessions)
8-week program
Small group (max. 10 participants)
