The Music Teachers' Association of South Australia Inc.

The Music Teachers' Association of SA Inc. is the professional association for private studio music teachers.

Established in 1930, it exists for the benefit of members and endeavours to promote musicianship and general aspects of studio music teaching. It provides services for teachers and the general public and is a non-profit organisation, run by a council of volunteers. Benefits of membership include: accreditation courses for teachers; seminars and workshops throughout the year to encourage members to

upgrade their professional skills; a quarterly magazine, SA Music Teacher, with news, views and reviews; and entry in the Directory of Teachers which is available for consultation through major music stores. The Association organises Performance Days and Scholarships for students. Anyone seeking a professional music teacher is urged to seek advice from the teacher directory in our website or the hard copies distributed to the music retailers in SA.

🎶 MTASA Concert Performance Day #1 – 2026 🎶

We are delighted to announce our first Concert Performance Day for 2026, presented in collaboration with AMEB!

📅 Sunday 3 May 2026
📍 Madley Rehearsal Studio, University of Adelaide

This much-loved event provides a supportive and encouraging space for students to perform their repertoire and receive valuable written feedback from an experienced reviewer. It’s a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, share music, and connect with our teaching community.

Open to students of MTASA members and those enrolled for an AMEB examination, with performers of all instruments warmly welcomed. Members are also welcome to participate.

🕙 Session times: 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm
🎓 The 2:00pm session is dedicated to Certificate of Performance and Diploma-level repertoire

🎹 In-house accompanist available (Grade 4 and under, subject to strict conditions and music submission by 20 April)

⏰ Entries close: Friday 25 April at 5:00pm (no late entries accepted)
