We. Are. Back…
With another Minecraft server! 🦆

Our mix of tireless studying and procrastination has struck again. To celebrate the end of exams (or numb the pain of them), join us on the CS club holiday server!

Details:
Server Address 🔗: mc.csclub.org.au
WebMap 🌐: mc.csclub.org.au:8150 (link in our bio)
Version 📋: Survival 26.1.2, Java Edition
Time ⏳: 6 full weeks! (👀 What will you do with all that time?)

Note: It is SimpleVoiceChat compatible. For you to enjoy this feature, it must be installed client side, and it will only work with other users who have also installed the fabric version of SimpleVoiceChat.

Build beautiful things, cause a little chaos (not too much), attend our weekly events 👀, don’t even think about needing a j*b and… is that a duck I see?

And to keep things enjoyable for everyone, please make sure you read and abide by the rules.

Are you graduating at the end of 2027 or in 2028/2029? 🎓
A reminder that you’re invited to apply for Jane Street’s July SEE Program at their Hong Kong Office!

SEE program is an opportunity for a select group of students to connect with Jane Street employees, learn about Jane Street’s firm and explore the beautiful city of Hong Kong! Additionally, Jane Street will cover all travel expenses to and from Hong Kong, including meals, housing, and a variety of social events.

SEE has three different program tracks students can apply for:
• 📈 Trading & Research (5 - 10 July): Students will learn about mathematical and financial topics such as probability, market structure, and arbitrage through a combination of short lectures, group games, and mock trading sessions.
• 👾 Software Engineering (7 - 12 July): Students will learn about OCaml, the libraries and tools we use in our daily work, and put them to use building a computer game. Participants will practice technical communication skills, problem-solving techniques, and software engineering interview skills. Participants will also learn the fundamentals of electronic trading systems and build programs that trade on simulated stock exchanges.
• 💡Strategy and Product (5 - 10 July): Attendees will get a glimpse into the work that goes on into Jane Street’s Strategy and Product Internship and rotational program. Case studies and problem-solving exercises will introduce participants to how Jane Street optimises funding and financing, sets up new trading flows, responds to regulatory inquiries, and generally manage the complex mechanics that underlie Jane Street’s business.

⏰ The deadline for applications has been extended to 11:59 HKT on the 24th of May to give you more time to polish those applications!

Ever wondered what your research looks like when applied in fast, real-world systems?

Optiver’s PhD Quant Focus is a two-day program, designed to give PhD students exposure to how areas like machine learning, statistics and applied mathematics are used in quantitative trading. You’ll work through practical problems and see how ideas hold up under real constraints.

If you’re currently completing a PhD, or know someone who is, applications are open for the Sydney program. Apply today through link in bio!
