Today is National Sorry Day, a time to acknowledge the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations survivors, and to reflect on the ongoing impacts of government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities.
As we begin National Reconciliation Week 2026, we’re reminded that reconciliation is not a one-off event. It is an ongoing commitment that requires all of us to listen, learn, reflect and act.
This year’s theme, All In for Reconciliation, calls on every Australian to consider the role we can play in building stronger relationships, shifting power, and creating a more just and inclusive future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Talking with children and young people about reconciliation helps build understanding, empathy and respect from an early age. Creative activities can help start important conversations at home, in classrooms, workplaces and community spaces across South Australia.
🎨 We’re encouraging all South Australians to get involved by downloading the colouring sheets, community installation activity, stickers and T-shirt designs to print, wear, share and display in your school, workplace, service or community.
There’s space to draw or write the actions you’ll take to be All In for Reconciliation because meaningful change happens when we all contribute, together. Put your completed designs on display to create a visible commitment to reconciliation in your community.
