Lac Viet Scout Group

Lac Viet Scout Group Lac Viet Scout Group welcomes all to join Scouts. "Preparing the youth to contribute to society."

We welcome you to our weekly meetings on Saturday from 4:30pm to 6pm where we offer a range of diverse activities. Lac Viet Scout Group is a small group which was founded in 1986 to teach young Vietnamese refugees more about their identity and the importance of being a model contributor to society. With the support and donation of a small hall from the 1st Kilburn Scout Group (disbanded), Lac Viet

Scout Group had a place for their members to meet and participate in skill-building activities. With two facilities, a backyard and a park closeby for members to meet, various thought-provoking and fun activities challenges members to develop necessary skills to complete the activity. Over time, the members begin to discover and practice their strengths as well as establish and improve on their struggling areas. However, with the constant guidance and encouragement from the leaders, members cooperate and have fun - the main aim of the activities. Throughout the years, many of the members have been successful with their ambitions and mission of using their capabilities and talents to contribute to society. With the innovation, discipline, social skills and values taken from Scouting, it is without a doubt that they are grateful from the experiences that Scouting can uniquely offer.
