🌟 DO YOU KNOW AN INCREDIBLE YOUNG PERSON WHO DESERVES TO BE CELEBRATED? 🌟

Nominations are now open for the Children’s Week 2026 Minister for Education Award, recognising outstanding primary and secondary school students up to 18 years of age. 💙

We know there are extraordinary young people right across South Australia who are quietly making a difference every day — showing kindness, leadership, resilience, inclusion, courage and a genuine commitment to helping others.

We want to hear about them!

The nomination should tell us about:
⭐ The outstanding qualities and values of the young person and their contribution
⭐ How long they have been involved
⭐ The difference their contribution has made to others and/or the wider community

Sometimes our most remarkable young people are not the ones receiving awards or standing in the spotlight. They are the ones checking on a classmate, volunteering their time, advocating for others, creating change in their school or community, or simply choosing kindness again and again.

This is your chance to make sure they are seen and celebrated. ❤️

Do you know a young person who shows courage, strength and perseverance in daily living? If so, please nominate them via https://sachildrensweek.org.au/get-involved/
This award will be given to a young person with a disability or health issues who has displayed courage and a positive attitude in the face of adversity.

Is there an under 18 year old child at your school who you would like to nominate for the Children's Week award? Download the form from https://sachildrensweek.org.au/get-involved/ and let the Children's Week committee know so we can acknowledge them during Children's Week 2026. We seek to give recognition to Individuals, groups, or organisations for outstanding and consistent contribution to the needs, interests, and welfare of children either in a voluntary or paid position.
Nominations close on the 14th August.
