The Pakistan-Australia Literary Forum (PALF) Inc. hosted its annual Eid dinner on 21st March 2026 to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The event was held at the Saffron Club in Prospect, South Australia, and brought together a vibrant gathering of community members, families, and well-wishers who participated with great enthusiasm and a shared spirit of festivity. The evening commenced on a spiritually uplifting note with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Mr. Zia ul Haque, Deputy Secretary General of PALF Inc. His melodious and heartfelt recitation set a reflective and reverent tone for the program, reminding attendees of the deeper significance of Eid as a time of gratitude, compassion, and unity. The proceedings were eloquently conducted by Dr. Mohsin Ali Arzoo, who served as the Master of Ceremonies. With his characteristic poise, wit, and literary flair, he guided the event seamlessly, maintaining both decorum and engagement throughout the evening. In his keynote address, the President of PALF Inc., Dr. Afzal Razvi, extended a warm and gracious welcome to all attendees. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the continued support and active participation of the community in advancing the mission and vision of PALF Inc., which centres on promoting literary, cultural, and intellectual engagement among the Pakistani-Australian diaspora. Dr. Razvi also reflected on the core values of Eid—emphasising unity, generosity, and mutual respect—and encouraged the community to embody these principles in their daily lives. Furthermore, he offered a sincere and poignant prayer for peace, stability, and harmony in the Middle East and across the wider world, echoing the collective sentiments of the gathering. The event provided an excellent platform for social interaction, cultural exchange, and the strengthening of community bonds. Attendees enjoyed a warm and convivial atmosphere, complemented by a delightful dinner and meaningful conversations that reflected the diversity and cohesion of the community. At the conclusion of the evening, the management of PALF Inc. presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Saffron Club in recognition of its continuous support and generous hospitality in hosting community events. This gesture symbolised the strong and enduring partnership between the organisation and the venue. The evening concluded on a highly positive and uplifting note, reinforcing PALF Inc.’s ongoing commitment to fostering cultural harmony, literary appreciation, and community solidarity. Such gatherings not only celebrate important religious occasions but also serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of unity and shared identity within the multicultural fabric of Australian society.
