Christies Beach parkrun

Christies Beach parkrun Christies Beach parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 8am every Saturday morning in Christies Beach.

Events are organised by local volunteers with support from parkrun HQ. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Christies Beach parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis

to enjoy our beautiful beachside path and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Six years later...... still applies!!!

We're lucky at Christies Beach, to have a turn around sign. Actually, we're doubly blessed, as we have two. When we consider the words 'turn around', we might think stop, go back!!, our sign doesn't tell you to stop and go back, it says 'keep going, but you might need to change direction!'
So, to all you people that sometimes feel like you want to stop and go back....keep going, but you might need to change direction!!

Speaking of starting over......... we received some grateful feedback after the heavy raindrops added extra clicks to our finish results and have now made several small edits. Whilst most times remain the same, some may find slight differences in the times previously published. We will not be making any further adjustments and thank everyone for braving the elements to be with us for what turned into a very ragged parkrun moment. Stay tuned for the weekly event update
