A warm and inviting session as part of Community Centres Week here at Seaton Community Centre last Thursday. Community members came together to learn about the Art of Henna. Meenu our facilitator showed participants how to create their own Henna designs and they learnt the significance of Henna as both a plant and body decoration.

ART OF HENNA WORKSHOP

Organic henna is a natural plant-based dye made from the leaves of the henna plant, traditionally used to create beautiful, temporary body art. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to mix your own henna paste from scratch, explore essential application techniques, and build confidence in creating patterns. By the end, you’ll design and apply your own unique henna piece, blending creativity with cultural artistry.

School holidays are over 😢 But didn't the kids have such fun!
Checkout the beaded bracelets, mini skateboards and bookmarks that the kids at Seaton Community Centre made! With some inspiration from facilitator On the Flip Side participants got to take home beaded bracelets, beaded skateboard decks and collaged bookmarks to give away or keep for their very own.
So much concentration, I've never had a workshop with children so quiet !!
