Today we’re celebrating the special role dogs play in our lives, bringing companionship, comfort and plenty of joy. Their visits can mean so much, and we love seeing four-legged friends spending time with their loved ones.

If you’re bringing your dog to visit today, there’s a little treat waiting for them too!

Pop by Reception to pick up a free National Dog Day gift for your pooch.

The Hospitality in Healthcare Excellence Awards celebrate people who make an outstanding contribution across healthcare and aged care.

We’re delighted that three members of the Alwyndor team were recognised in the 2026 national awards.

Beth and Alyssa were nominated for the Brilliance in Service Award, while Chin was nominated for the Values in Action Customer Service Award.

This recognition is a wonderful achievement and reflects the positive difference they each make every day.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Alwyndor’s Pressure Injury Care Project Team has won the Innovation Award in the Team category at the 2026 Ageing Australia You are ACE! Awards!

Our Residential Allied Health Team was also named a national finalist in the Teamwork category - an outstanding acknowledgement of the team’s expertise, teamwork and commitment to resident wellbeing.

With more than 470 nominations received from across Australia, these two achievements represent significant national recognition for Alwyndor.

We were delighted to welcome Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson to meet our team, tour Alwyndor and join our Aged Care Employee Day celebrations, where he presented the Innovation Award and formally recognised our Residential Allied Health Team’s finalist achievement.

Congratulations to both Alwyndor teams. Thank you also to Tom and his colleagues from Ageing Australia for sharing this meaningful day with us - and to every Alwyndor employee for the difference you make each day.

Meet Joshua, Wound Nurse Consultant at Alwyndor 👋

Since joining the team as a Clinical Nurse in 2018, Joshua now brings his years of expertise to provide routine nursing care and oversee wound recovery for our clients.

Celebrating innovation through ARIIA's Flagship Program.

Completing ARIIA's Flagship Program is an achievement we're proud of, and one that reflects our commitment to learning, innovation, and better outcomes for older people.

Led by ARIIA, the Pressure Injury Project brought together aged care organisations from across Australia, with support from the Aged Care Collaborative (ACC). As a participating organisation, our team had the opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen evidence-based practice, and enhance pressure injury prevention.

We thank ARIIA for leading this important program, and ACC and our fellow project partners for their support, collaboration and dedication throughout the initiative.

We'll continue building on these learnings as we strive to provide the highest quality care and support for older people.
