We operate recreation centres, aquatic centres, gymnastics, early learning and OSHC programs at 65+ locations across SA. Established in 1850, the YMCA of South Australia is one of Australia's oldest and most respected community organisations. As a community based organisation, we work collaboratively with government, non-profit groups and partners to provide a range of programs and services to build strong people, strong families and strong communities.

75 young South Australians took over both chambers at Parliament House this month and passed eight bills of their own.

The 31st South Australian Youth Parliament, supported by Human Services SA, has wrapped up for another successful year. Participants aged 15 to 25 started with a two-day training weekend covering leadership, public speaking, bill writing and parliamentary procedure, then spent the week debating in the Youth House of Assembly and the Youth Legislative Council.

The eight bills that passed dealt with healthcare equity, homelessness, artificial intelligence, transport, employment, water security and human rights.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and to Youth Governor Charlie Caldwell, Speaker Lucy McDonald and President Alex Luczak.

🏆💜 Ceri Hutton’s latest addition of taking home the Matt Byrne Award is a proud moment for YMCA South Australia and The Parks Theatre.

More than nine years ago, Ceri joined The Parks Youth Theatre to make musical theatre more affordable and accessible for young people in Adelaide’s northwestern suburbs. Since then, it has grown into a welcoming community space where children and families can connect, build confidence and feel part of something bigger. 🚸 The award recognises Ceri’s and YMCA SA’s dedication to creating opportunities for young people.
