One of our resident magpies swooped in to inspect some of the delicious treats baked fresh in our kitchen at Nunyara Conference Centre.

Whether it’s primary school students, hungry high schoolers, or an adult community group, our head cook is experienced in choosing menus to suit your group's needs (including packed lunches).

If you’d like to add something special to your stay, we can also provide platters or even a three-course meal.

Our hardworking Housekeepers do an amazing job of keeping Nunyara Conference Centre clean and tidy, and our much-loved Henry hoover always brings a smile to our cleaning days.

We thought Henry deserved a friend – here he is with our new vacuum cleaner, Hetty. Aren’t they a perfect pair?

It's SA History Festival month, and we're sharing moments from our venues' history.

Adare belonged to the Cudmore family from 1893 to 1942.

This photo shows Mary Cudmore standing at the front of Adare House on her wedding day. In the next image, you can see what the entrance to Adare looks like today.

To celebrate History Festival month, we're sharing moments from our venues' history.

Nunyara Conference Centre was first built as a sanitorium for tuberculosis patients in the early 1900s.

Here, you can see what a patient's room would've looked like, and their daily schedule.

The schedule promises that β€œthe treatment, though thorough and effective, is at the same time pleasant ... the social life, varied walks and motor drives in charming scenery have a most beneficial effect”.

We're sharing moments from the history of our venues during South Australia's History Festival in May.

When Adare mansion was built by the Cudmore family, its interior was tastefully furnished. The fireplace mantle, as well as much of the timber for the house, was imported from England.

Miss Minnie Cudmore hand painted floral designs on the panels of the bedroom doors. In the small tower, Mr Cudmore kept a museum of stuffed birds and shells.

As in many older Victor Harbor buildings, seaweed was placed in the ceiling for insulation.

During History Festival month, we're sharing moments from the history of our venues.

One of Nunyara Conference Centre's most significant buildings is the Nunyara Chapel. It was officially opened on Sunday, 12 May 1963.

In 1966, the Chapel received an Award of Merit for its outstanding architecture (designed by Mr M Doley and Mr R Knowles).

The Chapel features glass walls on three sides, providing stunning views of the natural surroundings.

South Australia's History Festival is here, so we wanted to share a little about the history of Adare Camp and Caravan Park.

According to a local Ramindjeri Dreamtime story, the hill where Adare stands represents an ancestral being who was turned into a whale.

In 1837, Governor Hindmarsh bought several sections of land at Encounter Bay and built a cottage on the side of the hill.

Wealthy pastoralists Daniel and Martha Cudmore purchased the property in 1891. They engaged an architect to design elaborate extensions to the original Hindmarsh Cottage. The new mansion was named Adare, after the Cudmores' home in Ireland.

Adare was later bought by the Methodist Church in 1954.
