Keeping returns current isn't just a compliance issue.

It's how you make sure the people who work hard for you are properly recognised and protected.

That's worth a few minutes every two months.

Our vision is simple: every eligible construction worker should be able to enjoy the benefit of long service leave.

Since 1977, the SA Portable Long Service Leave Construction Industry scheme has worked as one team with workers, employers and industry partners to make that happen.

We administer the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act 1987 as a standalone scheme with our own board and fund.

If you want to know more about us, visit saplsl-construction.org.au.

We were proud to support the event as a sponsor, with Michael presenting the award for Contract Home $2 million to $4 million.

Congratulations to and all the finalists and winners who were recognised on the night.

Have you reached 2,600 service days? You may be eligible for 13 weeks of portable long service leave.

Making a claim is simple:

1. Lodge your claim through the Worker Portal.
2. Your employer confirms your leave dates through the Employer Portal.
3. We assess and process your claim.
4. Your payment comes directly from the scheme, not your employer.

Apply at least 2-3 weeks before your leave starts.

The long service leave levy collected from employers is invested to help make sure the scheme can continue supporting workers into the future.

Because it’s designed to be self-sustaining, it helps protect the entitlements workers have earned and gives them peace of mind that the support they rely on will be there when they need it most.

For workers and their families, that means greater confidence, stronger security, and a better sense of support for the road ahead.
