Enabled Youth Disability Network Enabled Youth Disability Network is a peer network run by and for people living with disability in SA EYDN meets once a month at Julia Farr Association.

The Enabled Youth Disability Network (EYDN) work to give young people living with disability in South Australia a voice on issues important to them and come up with strategies to change thoughts and lives. EYDN enable young people living with disability to voice their concerns about their lives and take action to change themselves and others. EYDN (formerly Julia Farr Youth) was established in 20

08 and are a group of young people living with disability from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about disability and youth issues. The meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of every month. Further details can be found on our website: http://juliafarr.org.au/youth/

Do you want to get involved with EYDN? We are looking for young people who are:
* Aged between 18-30 years old;
* Live with a disability; and

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Applications are open for the Neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ Youth Community Leadership Program a free SA-based program for neurodivergent LGBTQIA+SB young people aged 18–25. Applications close June 15th.

What's the program about? You're likely already leading in ways that don't always get called leadership. But they are. This program is about naming that, building on it, and going deeper, with people who get it.

Is this for you?
βœ” You're aged 18–25
βœ” You identify as neurodivergent β€” self-diagnosis is valid here
βœ” You identify as LGBTQIA+SB β€” all diverse gender expressions invited
* No NDIS plan or formal diagnosis needed

Enabled Youth Disability Network has recently come to the Barossa region, and one of the key topics raised by young people has been the challenges of accessing public transport.

We’ve created a short survey for young people aged 16–30 living with disability to share their experiences, what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change.

5:45-6:30 pm: SAHLN will talk about advocacy in health, finding good healthcare services, and more!
We will also have time for questions, and further discussion!

The Guardian for Children and Young People invite submissions for the Supported Independent Living Services (SILS) Inquiry for young people in out-of-home care in South Australia.

EYDN want to hear from young people with disability to share their experiences - Living in SILS Out of Home Care (under Guardianship not SDA housing), or share ideas on how SILS can better meet the rights/ needs of young people with disability.

The consultation session will be on May 14th at the Purple Orange in Unley, from 11:00am - 12:30pm!
Participants will be reimbursed for their time!
