Yafa (Jaffa) — once called The Bride of the Sea — was one of Palestine’s most vibrant cities.
Before 1948, it thrived with orange groves, busy markets, and a deep cultural life. A centre of trade, literature, and art. Home to tens of thousands of Palestinians, Muslims, Jews and Christians, who lived side by side.
Then came 1948.
Zionist Militias entered the city. Over 95% of Yafa’s Palestinian population was forcibly displaced. Families scattered. Streets emptied. A civilisation uprooted.
This all happened before Hamas existed.
Before October 7th, 2023.
A reminder that the history of Genocide in Palestine is much older than two years.
