Next Monday (5 October), our Aurora Vocal Ensemble are performing with Inarma Choir at the Art Gallery of South Australia for a free event from 1pm.

The Inarma Choir features women from the remote Communities of Pukatja, Mimili, Titjikala, and Alice Springs and Amoonguna. It'll be a very special concert – one not to miss.

This concert is presented in association with Soundstream, Chamber Music Adelaide and AGSA.

Inarma Choir and Aurora Vocal Ensemble perform their own, and shared songs in this unique collaboration. Since 2024, Christie Anderson, Aurora and Inarma have shared music, stories, tradition, and new music, allowing the humanity of their voices to remain a living, evolving art form.

Previously known as 'Tarab', Aurora Vocal Ensemble return for guided meditation sessions with Sanctuary on September 6, 2pm & 4.30pm at the glorious Yitpi Yartapuultiku.

Inspired by the Sonic Meditations of Pauline Oliveros, Aurora will experiment with the ‘fully embodied pursuit’ of ‘attending to sounds and to the world’ through music and somatic techniques.

Meet Sarah, our brilliant chair!

Long time supporter and ACOM board member Sarah Bleby has decided it’s time to step away, as she takes on a new role as Chair of renowned choir school Young Adelaide Voices.

A well-known and respected arts professional, Sarah is the Head of Creative at Immersive Light and Art. She was Executive Producer of the Adelaide Guitar Festival at Adelaide Festival Centre for more than 10 years and has held senior roles with Musica Viva, Create SA, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and the Adelaide Festival. Sarah is an active choral singer and a committed advocate for music participation across all generations, attributes which combine perfectly in her new gig.

As the person responsible for writing Adelaide's original application to become a UNESCO City of Music, having served as the designation’s original director, focal point, and board member, Adelaide City of Music knows it’s not a farewell, rather, see you again soon.
