LLL PARTNERSHIPS | What a wonderful day for St Martins Lutheran College, Mount Gambier SA, as the school officially opened its fantastic new Senior Student Hub.

The thoughtfully-designed, versatile facility brings together classrooms, collaborative study spaces, student amenities and support services under one roof.

“This building represents a commitment to creating environments that are purposeful and student-centred, ensuring our young people are well supported, as they prepare for life beyond school,” Principal Alan Connah said.

We were proud to work in partnership with St Martins to make this vision a reality, with Senior Operations Officer Olivia and Communications Officer Jason delighted to represent LLL at the opening.

Congratulations to Board Chair Mark Monaghan, Principal Alan and the St Martins Lutheran College community on a facility that will serve students and teachers well for years to come!

The theme of this year's Scams Awareness Week is 'No one’s just a number'.

Susanne's scam story:

“Mum, my phone's broken.”

That's how it started for Susanne.

Message after message claimed to be from her daughter. Her phone was broken. Her bank account was frozen. She needed money urgently.

By the time Susanne called her daughter to check, nearly $26,000 had been transferred.

“Unless you're 100% sure who it's coming from, don't engage.”

Behind every scam report is a real person and a real story. No one's just a number.

LLL PARTNERSHIPS | Exciting progress is being made at Good News Lutheran College’s growing Mambourin campus.

GNLC Principal Fiona McAuliffe, Victorian Member for Werribee John Lister MP, and students took part in an official sod turning ceremony in late May this year, and Mambourin has been a hive of activity since.

The Stage 2 construction phase includes a new primary classroom building, multi-purpose indoor centre, additional netball and basketball courts, expanded playgrounds and landscaped passive spaces.

"These additions will enhance learning environments and create greater opportunities for students and families, reflecting our long-term commitment to the region," GNLC Executive Business Manager Mario Puopolo said.

Stage 2 comes after Mambourin's cornerstone Hope Building was officially opened in 2025.

We are proud to support GNLC as it continues to invest in Lutheran education and create new opportunities for students and families in one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.

LLL SPONSORSHIP | Congratulations to our Platinum Partners Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) for hosting another inspirational Walk My Way in Brisbane.

We were proud to support the event on Saturday 8 August as major sponsor, including matching donations made on the day up to $5,000 to help double the impact for refugee girls at risk.

Funds raised go to ALWS’ PRECIOUS campaign that helps protect refugee girls in Kenya and Somalia from the dangers of child marriage by supporting them to stay in school.

Starting and finishing at QUT Gardens Point campus, walkers followed the banks of the Brisbane River on the 3km or 12.5km courses, with hundreds of participants enjoying the bright sunshine on the day.

“We are proud to support this very special occasion,” LLL Chief Relationship Officer Scott Ross said.

“It was a privilege and an honour to be able to double the impact of donations made on the day and support ALWS to protect as many girls from child marriage as possible.”

LLL CEO Karen Pienaar was honoured to address the gathering, highlighting the strength of our partnership, our ongoing commitment to Camping Ministry Grants, and the importance of the work Blueprint does with young people through fun-filled camps and many other opportunities for faith, connection and growth.
