A wonderful session assisting seniors with learning how to use technology on iPads. We cover the basics, such as how to scroll up and down, use the search function, key words, and navigate with the back button. We also enjoy some light games, share lunch together, and spend time connecting with the group, while also gifting presents to all the female seniors in the group to celebrate the Mother’s Day. 💐

Last Friday, our SSG group from VIWA, a community not-for-profit aged care organisation, enjoyed a truly special day out together.

We visited the National Railway Museum, Port Adelaide, where our seniors had a wonderful time riding the train around the museum twice and exploring the historic train collection. The experience brought back many nostalgic memories and sparked lots of shared stories and conversation.

After the visit, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mai Kitchen Vietnamese Restaurant. Everyone appreciated the great food and the chance to relax and connect in a warm, social setting.

To finish off the day, we had some fun quizzes on the bus ride home, which kept everyone engaged and laughing all the way back.
It was a beautiful day filled with connection, joy, and meaningful moments—everything we strive to create at VIWA. 💛

Last Friday we had the pleasure of welcoming Anna from the Aged Rights Advocacy Service (ARAS), who delivered an informative and important session for our seniors on abuse prevention. It was a valuable opportunity to raise awareness and empower everyone with knowledge and support.

After the session, the fun continued with a lively game of bingo, bringing plenty of smiles and friendly competition! We also celebrated our March birthdays, adding extra joy to the day. To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal featuring nourishing bowls of Vietnamese pork ball noodle soup.

A wonderful day of learning, connection, and celebration 💛

Last week, as part of our community aged care support, we accompanied a small group of seniors to an early voting centre for the state election. Our team provided Vietnamese translation to ensure they felt confident, informed, and supported throughout the voting process.
Afterwards, we shared a lovely lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, giving everyone the chance to relax, connect, and enjoy some time together.
Supporting independence, inclusion, and meaningful community participation is at the heart of what we do. 💙
