Kicked off a Virgin Australia plane today. ✈️♿️

I boarded my flight from Sydney to Adelaide with my wheelchair, SmartDrive and service dog, just as I have on multiple Virgin flights over the past week.

The problem was the seat Virgin had allocated me. There was nowhere safe to secure my SmartDrive without it rolling around near my service dog. I asked for another solution, including moving seats or securing it elsewhere on the aircraft.

Instead, I was offloaded from the plane in front of everyone.

I didn’t choose that seat. The airline put me there. Yet I was the person removed when the setup they provided didn’t work.

This is exactly why so many people with disabilities have anxiety about flying.

It’s 2026. Disabled passengers shouldn’t have to fight this hard simply to get on a plane and get home.

I’m angry, upset and genuinely shocked by how this was handled today.

More to come.

Looking for a Head Chef. Will it be you? 👨‍🍳

In just a couple of months we’ll be opening JUNO, our brand new waterfront café, brunch destination and events venue in Port Adelaide, and we’re looking for an incredible Head Chef to help bring it to life.

We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to turn up and cook. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of building something truly special from the ground up. Someone with the passion to create an amazing menu, build a fantastic team and help shape what we hope becomes one of South Australia’s best hospitality experiences.

JUNO is a 200 capacity venue built literally over the water in the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary. By day we’ll be serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, and on weekends we’ll host weddings, corporate events and private functions. We only announced the venue about a month ago and we’ve already had wedding enquiries, which is incredibly exciting. Experience with functions and high end catering would be a huge advantage.

One feature I’m especially excited about is our boat pontoon. Visitors will be able to pull up, scan a QR code, order their food and have it delivered straight to their boat while enjoying one of the most unique dining locations in Australia.

If this sounds like you, or someone you know, we’d love to hear from you.

Please share this post. It might just help us find the person who’ll become a huge part of the JUNO family. ☕🐬

Something special is taking shape on the Port River.

Later this year, Juno will open as a café, events and functions space in the heart of Port Adelaide, right on the water within the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary.

We’re bringing new life to an iconic riverside building, creating a place for great coffee, local produce, memorable events and genuine hospitality.

As Port Adelaide continues its revival, we’re proud to be part of the journey.

If you’re a builder, chef, barista, event professional or someone who loves creating great experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Follow along as we transform the space and count down to opening day.

A few days ago, I had the great pleasure of catching up with the awesome team of firefighters at Port Adelaide Fire Station.

It was fantastic to get a tour of the station and learn more about how this team helps keep our community safe every single day. From Port Adelaide to Garden Island, West Lakes, Alberton, Semaphore and everything in between, when you call the fire brigade these are the great people who come to the rescue.

A big thank you to Matt, Ross, Andrew and Tom for taking the time to show me around and chat about the important work they do in our community.

These are the humans behind firefighting in our region. Brave people who put themselves in danger to help protect lives, homes and families. 🚒

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. 💐

Also my thoughts go out to all the mothers out there who sadly may have lost children, or any children that have lost their mums. Days like today can be really tough for a lot of people.

Cherish this day and cherish your mums. ❤️
