Volunteers needed πŸ”Š

This is Janet. She needed some help to get a verge garden going. Her neighbours Sandy and Glenn wanted to create another garden. See where we are going with this?

Team up with neighbours, friends or family and work together.

Everyone has different skills that add up. Can you help with online applications or dig holes or select plants? Can you remove weeds or offer some mulch? Maybe you make a great cuppa and can offer afternoon tea?

Do what you can when you can, one action at a time.

Gardening for the Future
Presented by Beck Stevens

Hi fellow veggie growers s2
GGGYO next workshop is on Sunday 17th May at 2.30pm at Unley Community Centre, 18 Arthur St, Unley. Please indicate your attendance by emailing Pat Wundersitz or phoning on 0407 608 345.

Workshop details:
Climate change, with its disruption to normal weather patterns and increased heat, will have a big impact on our food growing. In this workshop Beck Stevens will explore choices and adaptations that we can make to help us continue to grow food successfully.

Beck Stevens is a health and food educator, horticulturalist and Agricultural Scientist with a passion for building strong, resilient, and sustainable communities that are linked with their food sources and have a sense of environmental stewardship through sustainable and regenerative land management practices. She is a founding member and coordinator of 'Happy Patch Community Garden' and 'The Happy Pantry Community Food Cooperative', both located in Aberfoyle Park.

If you have questions that you would like to submit in advance, please send them to Pat and we will pass them on to Beck.

If you have any excess produce to share, bring that too!

Future Workshops: We have a terrific program planned for 2026. Our next workshop will be with Grace on Diversity in your Garden for Gut Health on 28th June. Look out for the flyer in your email. If you have any suggestions on topics for future workshops let us know.

Questions and problems? We are always keen to help you grow your own vegetables, fruit and nut trees. Please contact Pat on 0407 608 345. Or email through some photos of the growing problems you are facing and we will try to help.
