Oh what a night!
Last weekend we fired up the third CabLive show in our Holden Street Theatres series, supported by City Of Charles Sturt.
This was the last one in the series, but CabLive will continue next month, at Diverse-City on Gouger Street.
A huge thank you to our Host, David Gauci, and pianist, Carol Young, for their fantastic work in bringing our CabLive concept to life and making all three events so enjoyable.
CabLive provides valuable stage experience for performers. There’s no rehearsal before the show. Artists get up from the audience and step up on stage into the spotlight. The music starts, and you’re on! This style of impromptu performance encourages spontaneity, and builds nerve and adaptability. Whatever happens, happens. It’s all part of the show.
Last week’s artist line-up included songwriters, creators of musicals and self-accompanists, as well as those accompanied by Carol on piano. There was a wide variety of song choices. And it’s clear that there are some new cabaret shows being developed.
