We've been busy in our local Reserves weeding, planting and watering. Today we were joined by Sudhashree in Norman Street Reserve. Sudhashree is our newest volunteer and while she is already a busy volunteer, artist and part time worker, she wanted to contribute. We had only just been discussing how every effort adds up and today proved how much one extra person can make a big difference.

You might have spotted a bunch of neighbours installing stobie art this morning, corner St Marys Street and Southern Avenue. It's currently under wraps as the adhesive sets but once unveiled, we will share the story of this artwork with you all.

For now a big round of applause for the artist Sandy and the installation team. Even our local ward Councillor put on the hi-vis and helped out!

We have had reports that Day Drive is once again a place to expect swooping magpies. Many local residents are familiar and ready to avoid this particular spot if possible.

Magpie swooping season has begun. While it can be unsettling, Magpies are just trying to protect their families during breeding season, which is from now until October.

Stay safe on your walk, ride or run by:
👀 Keeping an eye out for warning signs.
🧢 Wear sunglasses and a hat.
🚶 Stay calm and avoid running.
🪹 Take alternate paths if you know a nest is nearby.
