Stradbroke Scout Group View the fun, adventurous, challenging & inclusive activities our youth & adults do at Stradbroke!

Stradbroke Scout Group is a well-established scouting community, set in the Adelaide Foothills, offering youth opportunities to develop lifelong skills in the Joey, Cub, Scout and Venturer age sections. As a voluntary organisation we also welcome adults to join as Adult Helpers, Leaders of Youth and Support Committee Members. There are multiple benefits for both youth and adults of joining this global movement that has over 57million members across 173 National Scout Organisations and been empowering young people for over 100 years. Scouts SA is an independent branch of Scouts Australia, part of the World Scout Movement, with a common purpose to contribute to the development of young people by helping them learn and grow, and to play a constructive role in a global society. The purpose of the Scout Movement is to contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Scouting is more than just a place for young people to have fun. “Creating a Better World” and “Education for Life” are common phrases connected to Scouting. As a global voluntary, non-political, educational movement of young people, supported by adults, it is open to, and inclusive of all.

We’re getting prepared for the final term of 2026!

Although the end of the year is getting closer, that doesn’t mean Scouts will be slowing down.

For our younger Joey Scouts, Hoporee is just around the corner, while older Scouts can look forward to an epic end-of-year celebration at Super Splash 2026!

No matter what section you’re in, there’s no better time to get into Scouting!

Each age section has their own special event….for Cub Scouts it is the Pinewood Derby which this year expanded to a Branch event following District level races.

A fantastic activity for SIA projects and a great way for families to be involved in scouting.

This year our Cub Scout Jasper B was crowned the ‘Best Looking Car’ at District and Branch events. 🤩

Over the weekend, Scouts SA and the Cub Scouts section held the Branch Pinewood Derby Final. It was an incredible day, filled with thrilling races, non-stop fun and plenty of memorable moments.

The wait is finally over! Adelaide Gang Show’s 65th season arrives on stage tomorrow night, and tickets are still available!🎟️

Adelaide Gang Show is bringing magic to the stage as the Gang dives headfirst into the world of Wishes.
