This was the Circle at Goodness Me Festival on Saturday.
Look at those faces.
Look at those hands in the air.
That's what happens when people feel safe enough to let go.

A Circle isn't complicated.
There's no script, no agenda, no performance.

We're building something.

The Journey South Australian Men's Gathering is coming later this year, and we're looking for men who want to help shape it from the ground up.

This isn't just volunteering. It's being part of something that could matter to a lot of men in this state. If you've done the work, you know what a room full of good men can do. Now imagine that on a bigger scale.

We're holding our first organising team meeting on Sunday 19th April — in person at La Crema Roastery in Adelaide, or via Teams if you can't make it in person. 10am to 2pm.

If you've got skills to bring, ideas to share, or you simply want to get your hands into something meaningful - you're invited.

You might have heard us talk about "the circle."

But if you've never experienced one, it's hard to explain. So let us try.

A circle is a space where people sit together - without agenda, without judgement, without anyone trying to fix anyone else. Where what gets said stays in the room. Where someone might share something they've never said out loud before, and feel lighter for it.

It's one of the most simple and most powerful things we do.

Todayat Goodness Me Festival, we're holding a GBBM circle - and it's open to anyone attending the festival. You don't need to know anything about men's work to come. You just need to be curious.

Come and see what happens when people sit down and get real with each other.

We're showing up at Goodness Me Festival this weekend.

On Saturday 18th April, we'll be holding a GBBM Circle on the grounds of Riverdell Spiritual Centre - and if you're at the festival, you're welcome to pull up a seat.

If you've never experienced a Circle before, this is a good place to start. No experience needed. No pressure to share. Just a genuine conversation in a good space, with good people around you.

It's what we do - just with a festival happening around it.

All are welcome - everyone at the festival. Come and experience the magic of men's work!

Peter Doody will tell you he's a simple man with a simple goal:
Give back. In as many heartfelt ways as he can.

But the man he is today looks nothing like the man he was five years ago - and that gap is worth talking about.

Five years ago, Peter was an alcoholic. Severe arthritis meant he could barely walk ten metres. For his 60th birthday, his daughter bought him a walker. He'd carried grief since childhood - losses he hadn't fully processed, a weight he hadn't named - and it had quietly shaped everything.

Then he walked into Begin The Journey.

Today, Peter runs. Something he hadn't done in fifteen years. He facilitates the Elizabeth Open Men's Group every week, showing up for men the way he once needed someone to show up for him. He follows up phone calls with men he's just met. He sends reminder texts every Tuesday. He organised nights out.

He trained his brain - replacing every negative thought with five positive ones - until one day he realised his head was just full of good things.

"The physical changes came from surgery," he'll tell you. "But the heart change - that came from Good Better Best Men."

He's not scared anymore. Not of speaking up, not of stepping forward, not even of what comes next. He describes it as a warmth in his chest that just keeps growing.

That's what this work does. Not for every man in the same way. But for men who are ready - it changes things.
