Fruit Share Adelaide We are a charity that harvests excess fruit from trees across Adelaide and the Hills to redistribute to those in need.

We've had a huge weekend picking olives across 3 different locations (North Adelaide, Reynella East & McLaren Vale)

A big thanks to the 30+ volunteers who came out to help with the picking.

We won't hit our 1000kg target. Olive is a lot harder than you think but we should get close to 500kg 🤞

We'll know tomorrow once Diana Olive Oil has run it through their process.

Any guesses as to how many kgs of olives or litres of olive oil we'll make?

A quick after work orange harvest at Pennington - just making it before the rain ☔️

⚖️ 94 kg picked going to Elizabeth Grove Primary School tomorrow 🛻🧺

🫒We're picking olives next weekend in North Adelaide, McLaren Vale, and Reynella East

We're aiming for a harvest of 1,000kg, which should give us at least 150 litres of olive oil

Diana olive oil are pressing the olives for us at no cost, so a huge thank you to them 🙏

Good food does not have to go to waste 🧺🪣📦

Fruit Share Adelaide rescues surplus fruit and vegetables from backyards and farms, transforming backyard abundance into community nourishment by sharing fresh produce with people who need it most through a network of over 130 food relief partners.

We are 100% volunteer run and keep our costs as low as possible. But there are real costs to keeping things moving, and your donation helps cover them directly:

⛽️🚙 Fuel reimbursements for Harvest Leaders so they are never out of pocket.

⚖️✂️ Harvest equipment like platform scales and secateurs to equip new Harvest Leaders.

🖥️⌨️ Software tools, keeping our coordination and communications running smoothly.

🚚🛻 Van or ute hire to efficiently move larger loads of produce.

📄📰 Print materials to grow our reach across Adelaide.

Help us rescue good food and get it to people who need it by donating to Fruit Share Adelaide.

This financial year, we aim to raise $20,000 to keep harvests running and allow us to continue growing.

Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible, and your receipt arrives by email straight away.

Donating before 30 June means it counts toward this financial year.

🍐 Pear and Ginger Preserves. A very successful day, making 90 jars of yummy preserves at the Noarlunga Uniting Church kitchen.

We used 21kg fresh pears picked from Magarey Orchard and added gorgeous ginger. The aroma was so good that we sold our first jar to a visitor to the centre while it was still hot.

🙏 Huge thank you to the team, Alka, Sharon, Tracy, Amanda, Eunice, and Sally- Anne.

🙏 Thank you to the generosity of the Uniting Church for the use of their kitchen. 🫶
