ANSAN Webinar 6 - JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute)

Our next ANSAN webinar 6 is a collaboration with JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute), on Implementation sciences, and the experiences of nurse researchers.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Dr Craig Lockwood, Deputy Director, JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) and will include distinguished nursing leaders and alumni working in clinical research.

Our expert panel of nursing leaders and alumni for this CPD webinar are:

• Emeritus Professor Alan Pearson AM was the founding Professor of Nursing and Head of School in 1995. Professor Pearson established the Joanna Briggs Institute in 2006 and under his leadership, JBI has grown to be recognised as a world-leaders in evidence-based healthcare. In 2010 Alan was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his distinguished career and service to society and to the University of Adelaide.
• Dr Tamara Page recently commenced as Dean and Head of Adelaide Nursing School, having joined the Adelaide Nursing School in 2012. With extensive experience with St Andrew’s Hospital, Tammy's leadership in safety and quality has been central in emphasising the significance of research and quality improvement in both clinical and academic domains through innovative practices and staff mentoring.
• Thomson Delloso an Emergency Department RN currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval, recently completing a Master of Traumatology and receiving First Class Honours in Nursing (First-Class). Thomson has a strong interest in clinical education, critical care and trauma.

During the webinar, we will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about our careers in nursing and the opportunities to transition from clinical practice to research.

This year is the 2nd year anniversary of the Adelaide Nursing School Alumni Network (ANSAN) which was launched to support, nurture and develop Adelaide Nursing School alumni through networking and professional development.

Thank you for all the work you are doing to support your colleagues and our community at a time in which health systems are under so much pressure. We’ve been busy working behind the scenes to put together a fantastic face to face networking and mentoring workshop facilitated by Rosslyn Cox, on Tuesday 26 November for you. This informal mentoring and networking event provides an opportunity to build lifelong relationships and support your career in nursing. More information can be found below, I hope you can join us for this event.

Professional facilitator, trainer, and leadership coach Rosslyn Cox, will join us for this mentoring workshop which offers a strengths-based approach to personal and professional development, emphasising emotional intelligence and referencing positive psychology and neuroscience.
With over 22 years’ experience in leadership and management positions across government, higher education, not-for-profit and private sectors, Rosslyn designs and facilitates interactive workshops using the latest research in psychology, neuroscience and management. Rosslyn completed a Graduate Diploma Psychological Science in 2011, and a Bachelor of Commerce in 2002 at the University of Adelaide. Rosslyn holds many academic and professional accredited qualifications.

This informal mentoring and networking event provides an opportunity to build lifelong relationships and support your career in nursing. More information can be found below, I hope you can join us for this event.
