Thinking of Barry,

As a long-time friend of over 50 years and my business partner at Sign Language Australia from 2016 to 2021, Sign Language Australia is immensely proud of the late Mr. Barry John Priori, who was recently awarded “The Order of Australia Medal.” Barry was dedicated to teaching non-accredited basic Auslan classes and providing one-to-one or small group tutoring. He consistently expressed his joy in teaching beginners. His warm and engaging personality drew individuals curious about the Deaf Community and our language.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for Barry’s unwavering commitment to Sign Language Australia over the five years of his involvement. His contributions have been invaluable, and we celebrate this significant achievement with great pride.

Well done Barry.
