RSL South Australia thanks the youth of kindred and SA multicultural organisations who laid tributes on the War Memorial as a sign of respect for the fallen during the Dedication Ceremony on Anzac Eve. This included young legatees from Legacy, Turkish, Aboriginal, Indian, Irish, Spirit of Anzac youth and more. Some images for you to remember and enjoy.

The Vigil Committee thanks the VIP Youth Keynote Speaker Alessandra Pergoleto from St Paul's College, Gilles Plains for such an insightful speech on the Anzac Spirit. We also thank baritone vocalist Oliver Dinnessen courtesy of Recitals Australia, and bugler Elijah Wong from Brighton Secondary School. Thank you both for providing the musical accompaniment. Here are some more images of the young people (and adult leaders) of our ten different youth development organisations waiting in line and standing vigil around the South Australian National War Memorial on Anzac Eve 2026. It was great to see your comradery and friendships developing, not too unlike those young people who went off to War or conflict those many years ago. Even though you enjoyed each other’s company, you were still committed and remained focused on the commemoration and the reason for the Vigil. Lest we forget. Image Credit: Kate Elmes Photography.

RSL South Australia and the State Anzac Eve Youth Vigil committee thank 413 Army Cadet Unit Pipes and Drums (based at Keswick Barracks) for the excellent musical accompaniment to the State Dedication Ceremony on Anzac Eve. You sounded great and are all so talented, no doubt because you are supported by your fantastic army cadet staff. Here are some images from the event. Image Credit: Kate Elmes Photography.

New Vigil Participant Badge

Only two days to the RSL SA Anzac Eve Youth Vigil at the South Australia National War Memorial. It seems the weather will be fine which means a great turn out of the youth of South Australia, occupying the site over 12 hours, before handing over to the State Dawn service on Anzac Day.

RSL South Australia and the Youth Vigil committee have created a custom badge for this commemorative event. Going forward, all participating youth and adults will receive this badge to acknowledge their dedication at the North Terrace vigil.

Our thanks to A1 Insignia https://www.a1insignia.com.au/ and our sponsor John Peake Business Services Pty Ltd.

See you there!

Great rehearsal today by our bugler Elijah from Brighton Secondary School. He sounds excellent, but it takes a lot of skill to play like this. The bugle is a difficult instument to play. Well done.
