🏆 A BIG BUDS THANK YOU to Newcastle Football for inviting our club along to their 2026 Presentation Night last night. What a great way to wrap up the season — and from all reports, a fun night was had by all! 💃🕺

Pictured are our MiniRoos Coordinator Rikki Hodge, Girls Coordinator Val Lastro and his wife Steph, and Admin extraordinaire Daniel Alexander.

Behind every successful season is a team of people working hard behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly lucky to have such dedicated people helping make it all happen!

A huge shout-out to Rikki, Val, Daniel and our Boys Coordinator Cath Chojenta for everything they’ve done this year to coordinate players, teams, competitions and game days. 👏
From getting teams organised to making sure everything runs smoothly each week, their hard work helps create the opportunities for our players to get out there and enjoy their football.

Please join us in giving these legends a massive THANK YOU for everything they do for our club. It takes a team to make it all happen, and we appreciate you more than you know! ❤️💚

Here are your Newcastle Football Youth Girls Cup Division 2, 2026 Grand Final winners!

Buds showed great determination to claw back from 1-0 down to take the win 2-1. Thank you to opposition, Kotara South, for a great, very competitive game 👌🏻 ⚽️
The crowd, including me, was thoroughly entertained!! 💚❤️

Massive thanks to superstar coach and manager combo, Val and Natasha for their hard work and commitment through out the season 🙌 Grandfinal winning team and officials, two out of two years!

🌹Buds 15G Semi Final Recap 🌹

After another fantastic season, Buds 15G also lined up for their first round of finals yesterday.

‘It was a very close first half, with New Lambton scoring first. A chance for Buds close range just before the half time whistle, but the girls headed to the sheds 1-0 down.

New Lambton’s skillful forwards passing was the difference in the second half going up 3-0.

Then the fight back, after losing a player to injury and going to 10 players, we scored in a goal mouth scramble. Followed closely by a beautiful strike by our winger to get us to 3-2!

Pressure was on and the next 10mins were exciting.

However, a final beautifully worked goal towards the end closed it out 4-2 for New Lambton.

The buds did themselves proud leaving everything on the pitch. Great season and great team.’

Thanks to coach Chris for the wonderful match report.

Well done to the players, coaches and manager of the team for a fantastic season and a cracking shot at finals, we are all very proud.

💚❤️

Big thank you to Strike Bowling Bar and Grill'd Kotara for providing our player awards this season.
