As the Austrian-Fijian Society, we aim to create connections and promote cultural exchange between Austria and Fiji. 🌍🇦🇹🇫🇯

Vienna inspires us: the city is an international cultural capital shaped by a long history and rich cultural heritage. Along the Ringstraße, landmarks such as Vienna City Hall reflect this tradition.

The umbrella organization of bilateral friendship societies, PaN – Partner for all Nations, and many of its member societies, including ours, are based here in Vienna. The City of Vienna supports various cultural projects within the network – from the Garden Festival to the PaN Award at City Hall.

Als Österreichisch-Fidschianische Gesellschaft ist es unser Ziel, Verbindungen zu schaffen und den kulturellen Austausch zwischen Österreich und Fidschi zu fördern. 🌍🇦🇹🇫🇯

Wien inspiriert uns: Die Stadt ist eine internationale Kulturmetropole, geprägt von einer langen Geschichte und einem reichen kulturellen Erbe. Entlang der Ringstraße spiegeln Bauwerke wie das Wiener Rathaus diese besondere kulturelle Kontinuität wider.

Der Dachverband der bilateralen Freundschaftsgesellschaften, PaN – Partner aller Nationen, sowie viele seiner Mitgliedsgesellschaften – darunter auch wir – haben hier in Wien ihren Sitz. Die Stadt Wien unterstützt verschiedene Kulturprojekte des Netzwerks – vom Gartenfest bis zur Verleihung des PaN-Awards im Rathaus.

On October 28, 2025, PaN – Partner for all Nations’s annual event “Societies in the Spotlight” took place in the Wappensaal (Coat-of-Arms Hall) of Vienna City Hall 🇦🇹🏛️

The City of Vienna and PaN – Partner for all Nations invited guests to connect 🤝, celebrated the achievements of Austrian-foreign societies 🌍, and honored cultural diversity with music, keynotes, and awards 🎶🗣️🏆

The event recognized the Austrian-Portuguese Society 🇦🇹🇵🇹, the Austrian-Thai Society 🇦🇹🇹🇭, and the Austrian-Ugandan Friendship Society 🇦🇹🇺🇬 for their outstanding projects, inspiring us at the Austrian-Fijian Society 🇦🇹🇫🇯 to bring such wonderful initiatives to life ourselves ✨

Am 28. Oktober 2025 fand die jährliche Veranstaltung „Gesellschaften vor den Vorhang“ von PaN – Partner for all Nations im Wappensaal des Wiener Rathaus statt 🇦🇹🏛️

Die Stadt Wien und PaN luden zum Austausch ein 🤝, würdigten die Leistungen österreichisch-ausländischer Gesellschaften 🌍 und feierten kulturelle Vielfalt mit Musik, Keynotes und Auszeichnungen 🎶🗣️🏆

Die Veranstaltung ehrte die Österreichisch-Portugiesische Gesellschaft 🇦🇹🇵🇹, die Österreichisch-Thailändische Gesellschaft 🇦🇹🇹🇭 und die Österreichisch-Ugandische Freundschaftsgesellschaft 🇦🇹🇺🇬 für ihre herausragenden Projekte und inspiriert uns als Österreichisch-Fidschianische Gesellschaft 🇦🇹🇫🇯, selbst solche wunderbaren Projekte umzusetzen ✨

🍂🌆 Last autumn marked the beginning of the founding and restructuring process of the Austrian-Fijian Society – taking place in a relaxed and cozy, yet highly constructive atmosphere in Viennese coffeehouses ☕️🍵

A key driving force behind the Society’s renewed positioning is Fiona McFarlane, who has a family connection to Fiji and a strong interest in engaging with and supporting the island nation’s diplomatic community.

🍂🌆 Im vergangenen Herbst begann der Gründungs- bzw. Restrukturierungsprozess der Österreichisch-Fidschianischen Gesellschaft – in entspannter und gemütlicher, zugleich konstruktiver Atmosphäre in Wiener Kaffeehäusern ☕️🍵

Ein besonderes Interesse an der Neuaufstellung der Gesellschaft sowie eine treibende Kraft in diesem Prozess ist Fiona McFarlane, die auch einen familiären Bezug zu Fidschi hat und sich insbesondere für die diplomatische Community des Inselstaates engagiert.

On 29 August 2025, the Federation of Austrian–Foreign Societies – PaN (Partner of All Nations) held its traditional garden reception at Vienna's Hirschstetten Botanical Gardens, in cooperation with the City of Vienna. 🤝🏛️🌺
The event brought together more than 150 representatives of the bilateral member societies as well as partner organizations. 🌍
Within this framework, the restructuring of the Austrian–Fijian Society was set in motion. 🇦🇹🇫🇯

Am 29. August 2025 fand das traditionelle Gartenfest des Dachverbands der Österreichisch-Ausländischen Gesellschaften – PaN (Partner aller Nationen) in Kooperation mit der Stadt Wien in den Blumengärten Hirschstetten statt. 🤝🏛️🌺
Die Veranstaltung brachte mehr als 150 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter der bilateralen Mitgliedsgesellschaften sowie von Partnerorganisationen zusammen. 🌍
In diesem Rahmen wurde der Prozess zur Neustrukturierung der Österreichisch-Fidschianischen Gesellschaft in Gang gesetzt. 🇦🇹🇫🇯
