We’re delighted to share that alp was a partner with Leitrim County Childcare Committee as part of our Erasmus+ project
“Overcoming Empathy Fatigue in Child and Youth Work – Approaches in Self-Care for Child & Youth Workers.” 🌱

This first step into the training highlights the importance of understanding stress responses and building awareness through mindfulness—key elements for supporting the development of self-leadership, in this course specifically with those working with children and young people in a sustainable and compassionate way.

The training was co-lead by Paola Bortini and Peter Hofmann
A great start to a meaningful learning journey together 💚

🌿 As our Erasmus+ Project “Overcoming Empathy Fatigue in Child and Youth Work – Approaches in Self-Care for Child & Youth Workers” commenced, the focus in the first sessions, involved exploring a key question: how do we respond to stress? 🌊

Pictured below is trainer Paola Bortini (www.limina.at) guiding mindfulness practices and group reflection. Participants were guided to start beginning to recognize their automatic patterns and connect them with their work in child and youth settings.

The participants were also introduced to the three emotional regulation systems - a powerful framework to understand threat, drive, and soothing states. An essential foundation for preventing empathy fatigue and bringing more awareness and choice into relationships with young people.

“There is always a U within me.”

An invisible curve we move through whenever life asks us to pause, let go, and listen more deeply.
The U is not just a theoretical model — it is a lived experience.
It is the moment when we stop reacting and begin sensing.

Social Presencing Theater (SPT) is a method that allows us to explore this U through the body.
Not to analyze a situation, but to embody it.
Through simple movements and essential forms, what is unclear becomes visible, what is implicit takes shape, and what is stuck can begin to move.

When you bring a real situation from your life — personal or professional — into the SPT field, something unexpected happens:
fresh insights emerge.
Insights that are not thought through, but felt.
Responses that arise not from the mind, but from the body and from the relational field.

It is a radically different way of making sense, choosing, and leading.
A way that includes uncertainty, rather than trying to control it.

At the end of January, we will explore all this together during Leadership in the Body with Paola Bortini, Ana Bernardes and Pierre Goirand.
📍 Vienna | 27–29 January 2026
A three-day immersive journey for those who seek a more authentic, embodied, and alive leadership.

Everyone is preparing to master AI — but what about OI?

In a world rapidly shaped by artificial intelligence, the article “The Importance of OI (Organic Intelligence) in Times of AI” from Vasco Gaspar reminds us: when machines get smarter, what truly differentiates human leadership isn’t just IQ, tech-savviness or speed. It’s OI — the capacity to tune into our body, heart, inner wisdom, interconnection.

Why is OI becoming essential?

Because AI can replicate many tasks, but it cannot embody presence, authenticity, relational field sensing.
Because leadership in complex times demands we go beyond reacting — we must sense and co-create with what’s emerging.
Because as the article says, in increasingly artificial systems, “tuning into your body and heart may matter more than ever.”

👉 If building more OI sounds abstract or “optional,” consider the real-life cost of ignoring it.

When leaders disconnect from their own body signals, they lose access to early warnings: the tightening chest before a misaligned “yes,” the fatigue that signals a boundary crossed, the intuition that something in the room has shifted.

Teams feel this, too. A leader who is not present in their own body struggles to be present with others. Trust erodes quietly: people speak less, take fewer risks, and innovation dries up.
Decisions start to happen on autopilot — from habit, pressure, or fear — instead of from deep listening and awareness of what the situation truly needs.

And leadership becomes brittle.
Not adaptive, not relational, not wise — just faster, louder, and more exhausted.

That’s why the three-day immersive course Leadership in the Body (Vienna | 27-29 January 2026) matters.

It offers a space to:
* reconnect with your body and inner presence,
* deepen relational and systemic awareness,
* integrate wise embodied action.
Because to lead in an age of AI, you don’t just need smarter tools — you need more alive presence.

⚙️ “I can’t afford to be weak. I have to keep functioning.”

When Margherita said that, no one interrupted her.
Because in that sentence, there was everything: strength, fear, and exhaustion.

So she learned to keep functioning.
To stop listening to her body, because “there’s no time for that.”
To fill the silence with action, techniques, and tools — even mindfulness, even self-compassion — used not to feel, but to keep going.

Until one day, crossing the street in a hurry, a car stopped just a few centimeters from her.
And in that shock, her body spoke louder than any thought:
“I can’t live disconnected from myself any longer.”

Since then, Margherita’s practice has changed.
It no longer starts in the mind, but in the feet.
In the ground. In the breath.

🌿 Try this:
Pause. Feel your feet on the floor.
Breathe.
And ask yourself, honestly:
👉 “What do I really need right now?”
Not “What do I have to do?” — but What do I truly need, here, now, in this body?

In Leadership in the Body (Vienna, 27–29 January 2026), we explore exactly this:
how to rediscover the body as the compass your mind has forgotten,
how to turn pressure into presence,
and how to lead others without losing yourself.

A 3-day experiential journey in English — for anyone ready to lead with authenticity, awareness, and heart with Paola Bortini, Ana Bernardes and Pierre Goirand.

“Leave your ego at the coat rack.”
A simple gesture — but a rare one.

Many leaders believe their strength lies in clarity of ideas, vision, and courage to decide. True.
But what they often don’t see is how the body reveals the ego long before words do.
Tight shoulders. A raised voice. The subtle need to convince.
Tiny signs that, unnoticed, close the space for listening and connection.

👉 The cost of not noticing?
• Relationships become polite but distant.
• Teams comply instead of contributing.
• Decisions emerge from “I” rather than from “We.”

At Leadership in the Body (27–29 January 2026, Vienna), we explore exactly this:
how to leave the ego at the door — not to lose yourself, but to find a deeper, more authentic, more open presence.

Three days to:
🌿 reconnect with your body as an inner compass,
🌿 sense the movements of the system you are part of,
🌿 act with calm, clarity, and compassion.

Today, our new project SmileCafe officially starts. We'll be exploring ways to teach digital skills to people over 55, in order to foster their ability to take part and be included in the digital age.

We'll be cooperating with Progetto Crescere Società Cooperativa Sociale , Baltic Skills and EureCons for the next two years. Can't wait to kick this off!
