Playwright Eva Kamcevska from North Macedonia won the 2025 Sharing Future Residence Scholarship! 🎭✨
The scholarship is awarded annually by the Internationale Elias Canetti Gesellschaft, with the support of the Danube Rectors’ Conference.
During her residency in Ruse, Bulgaria, Eva worked intensively on her new play The Divided Future, building strong connections with local directors and actors and advancing both the writing and performance of the piece. Through a dystopian and ironic lens, the play reflects on present-day power structures, borders, and division, drawing striking parallels between past totalitarianism and current global realities.
The residency offered a valuable space for artistic exchange, creative development, and critical reflection on our shared future. 🤝
