Aktīva un panākumiem bagāta otrā diena Tallinā!

📆 Šodien 36. ICARUS kopsanāksmē ar iedvesmojošām prezentācijām uzstājās divas Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva pārstāves, iepazīstinot starptautiskos kolēģus ar mūsu pieredzi:
Sekcijā “Advanced Technologies & Public Outreach” Latvijas Valsts kinofotofonodokumentu arhīva Elektronisko dokumentu nodaļas eksperte Natālija Lāce dalījās ar prezentāciju “Artificial Intelligence Enhanced Access to Historical Audiovisual Records: The Experience of the Latvian State Archive of Audiovisual Documents”. Viņa stāstīja par to, kā mākslīgais intelekts palīdz uzlabot piekļuvi mūsu vēsturiskajam audiovizuālajam mantojumam.

🔎 Sadaļā “Archival Education & Public Engagement” Dokumentu publikāciju un popularizēšanas nodaļas pētniece Anete Korbi uzstājās ar prezentāciju “Bringing the Archival Documentary Heritage to Everyone: How Documents Become Stories”, atklājot, kā Latvijas Nacionālais arhīvs veiksmīgi popularizē dokumentāro mantojumu, pārvēršot arhīva materiālus aizraujošos stāstos un sasniedzot plašu auditoriju ar televīzijas, radio, preses un sociālo tīklu starpniecību.

Day one of our ICARUS Convention 36 in Tallinn was a blast! Afternoon sessions included the presentation of the recent publication of the proceedings of our 32nd ICARUS Convention in Novi Sad, edited by our Serbian colleagues Arhiv Vojvodine🤩

In addition to sessions about academic collaboration and research projects, we heard about different approaches to use to support and enhance archival work.

✨ Another highlight was the possibility to better get to know two of our corporate members: Anaphore repesented by Myriam Pauillac and Artefactual Systems Inc. introduced by Kelly Stewart

The day was then rounded off with guided tours through the premises of the Rahvusarhiiv/National Archives of Estonia and a generous reception.

👏A big thank you to our hosts for making our international audience feel so warmly welcomed in Estonia (even if the weather didn't show the same enthusiasm 😅🌧️)
