A few things happening in the Women in Law community. ✨

From celebrating the achievements of our Justitia Award laureates, to new research, publications and projects — here’s a little update on what’s been happening recently.

⚖️ Jalila Haider, our 2023 Justitia Award Laureate, has been named a 2026 Right Livelihood Laureate.

📖 A new edition of the Women in Law Journal is out, bringing together new research and perspectives on women and the law.

🎤 Franz J. Heidinger, our Vice President, will be speaking at the WLA Autumn Reception: “The Parity Offensive: 50:50 in Leadership” on 12 October in Vienna. We hope to see many of you there!

🏆 Ursula Plassnik has received her 2026 Justitia Award — a wonderful opportunity to celebrate her contribution.

🎓 And we’re happy to share “Advancing Women’s Rights in a Changing World”, an initiative founded by our shortlisted candidate Antonija Petrischusic at the University of Zagreb, with applications now open.
